National Craft Gallery ‘Interiors’ Exhibition Catalogue
The National Craft Gallery, Kilkenny, was established by the Crafts Council of Ireland as a leading centre for contemporary craft and design by Irish and international designers, artists and makers.
The catalogue for their inaugural exhibition, ‘Interiors: a sequence of interlinked spaces’, was designed with a die‑cut to reflect the arc-shaped building in which the gallery is housed. The gallery’s logo, featured on the cover, was also designed to reflect this shape.
Photography of craft pieces from the exhibition were featured throughout the catalogue in shapes containing the arc. Colour-coded sections denoted the spaces in the exhibition: sleeping; washing; eating; living; and garden.
Various other marketing items were designed for the gallery and its inaugural exhibition, including an invitation, flyer, postcard and waymarking signage.
