CRR Annual Report 2024

The Commission for Railway Regulation (CRR) is the independent public body with responsibility for the safety and economic regulation of railways and cableways in the Republic of Ireland.

This 84-page annual report, produced in both English and Irish, presents the reports of the Commissioner and the body’s Principal Inspectors to the Minister for Transport. A stylised representation of stops along railway lines on a map is used as a graphic device on the cover and in the running head throughout the report. The device leads the reader through the content, ending on each section’s final page and restarting on the first page of the next section. Bold use of the Commission’s corporate colours provides a striking backdrop to the photography selected from the portfolio of an amateur photographer and train enthusiast working at Irish Rail.

This document is part of a four-year contract, the second multi-year contract for CRR. This design is used for all of the Commission’s reports: the Annual Report, Statement of Strategy, Safety Performance Report and Annual Report to the European Union Agency for Railways.
